Meet the Birds!

I think maybe my blog concept of Bird’s and books is probably odd to some, but it’s actually a pretty good representation of who I am and what my family and friends deal with on a daily basis.  If asked to describe me, everyone who knows me now would probably say two things.  First, I love books.  Duh.  Second, I effing love my parrots.  I’m not naive, I’m positive that they all find it slightly obnoxious.

I do happen to have two dogs, Yorkie and Chihuahua, that I love very much.  I also love my husband and my daughter, but I know that what comes across loudly and upfront is that I’m avian obsessed.  I’m pretty sure I’m equally nerdy about birds and books, and that’s okay.  I don’t mind.

Being as obsessed as I am, I hemmed and hawed about whether or not to do a post that’s only about my little lovelies but decided that is it really BIRDIE Bookworm if I don’t mention them even once?

So, here you go, the true inspiration behind the concept for this blog:

I started to write little educational paragraph’s about each bird, but if there’s anything my friends have taught me it’s that all that crap is the boring stuff.  I don’t want to bore you, even if I find it fascinating!  So, all I’ll say is that each one of them is a character in their own way.  One of them talks, one of them whistles, all of them love cuddles.  They’re sweet little angels and wretched little devils, all rolled up into compact little bird bodies covered in soft downy feathers.

And that’s exactly what we love about them.  ♥

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
