Waiting on Wednesday

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
(Release Date: Sept 27th, 2016)

Crooked KingdomSynopsis: Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives.

Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties.

A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

Why I’m dying to read this:

I can’t wait for more Kaz!  I can’t wait for more Kaz and Inej!  Gimme more Jesper and Wyland!  More romance between Nina and Matthias…

I’m one of the lucky ones.  I just finished Six of Crows, so I didn’t have a long wait.  I’m incredibly thankful for that.

If I had to wait as long as others I think I would have gone insane, the way the first book ended.  Instead I only have 2 long weeks, instead of 12 long years!

Downside, I’ll be reading this immediately and then stuck waiting like everyone else.

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
