Unique Blogger Award

I love this blog award, because I think there’s nothing more wonderful than being unique.  So thank you so much for the nomination, Ava.  I loved how much thought you put into your nominations.  It made the fact that you thought of me even more special.  I appreciate it.

If you don’t follow Ava at Reads, Rhythms, and Ruminations, you should go rectify that immediately.  She has a wonderful blog that has something for everyone.

The Rules:

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  • Ask them three questions.

If you could get a chance to visit a fictional world, which one would it be?

There are so many amazing worlds to choose from.  My first instinct is to choose the Wizarding World, because who wouldn’t want to see Hogwarts or Hogsmeade?

That’s too obvious though.  Instead, I’m going to go with then entire Raven Cycle world.  I would chose to spend time at 300 Fox Way, with Blue’s family.  I’d want to spend the night at Monmouth Manufacturing.  I want to go for a ride in the Pig.  I want to visit Cabeswater.  All of it is so magical.  I want a bit of that magic.

What is your least favourite book/anime?

sweet-valley

If any of you have been a fan of Sweet Valley High, do not ever read this book.  In this attempted reboot the entire foundation that the series was built on is violently ripped down.  I won’t get into why, in case you don’t heed my warning.  Just, be forewarned.

Name the funniest book/anime you’ve read/watched.

It’s a toss up between Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, or How to be a Normal Person.  Both books made me laugh so hard, in public.  I laughed so hard that I was sure people were staring, and that I looked like I was having a psychotic break.

I highly recommend both books.

My Questions:

If you could turn one series into a television show, what would it be?

If you could pick any actor(ess) to play the leads in your favorite book, who would it be?

Which book did you love, but hate the ending?  What should have been different?

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.

  1. Thanks for the nomination!
I’m also super excited to see *someone* thought Me and Earl and the Dying Girl was hilarious. I laughed so hard I cried a few times listening to the audiobook. Yet, everyone I recommended this book too only gave it 1 or 2 stars. 😳 It was so disappointing for me! Looks like I need new reader friends. 😉

      1. It’s great! It’s narrated by the cast of the movie, but they are reading the book. It’s really cool because you can tell these actors really understand the motivations of their characters. And, when they impersonate other characters you can tell which actor it is! I loved it.

  2. Congratulations on the award! Being recognized as unique is an honor. I would choose the Wizarding World as well, cliche as that may be. I’d be chilling in Hogsmeade 24/7!
