Top Ten Tuesday meets Epic Waiting on Wednesday

Ten Books to Look Forward To

It feels like we’re always waiting for a new book to be released.  We all have some kind of way to keep track of them.  We have our calendars or a list we’re constantly updating.

Kudos for The Broke & The Bookish for capitalizing on that list of highly anticipated reads.  And kudos for me too, for finding a way to list more than 10!

Unfortunately not all of these have covers yet.

1. Until You & A Destiny of Dragons by TJ Klune (released in February & June of 2017)

This is a no brainer.  You’ve heard me say it a million times, but I love this author.  Even though I didn’t much like Lightning Struck Heart, I’m still going to be jumping at his new releases.

Burning World2. The Burning World by Isaac Marion (released in February 2017)

I technically already have a copy of this, but it still counts.  I’ve been waiting years to read the follow up to Warm Bodies, and I know I’m going to love it.

I’d better.  Did I mention I’ve been waiting years.

3. The Monet Murders & Fair Chance by Josh Lanyon (released in March 2017)

Not only is Josh Lanyon one of my favorite cozy mystery writers, I also love both of these series individually.  I’m especially excited for Fair Chance, since it’s been a long time since I read the previous two books.

4. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (released in February 2017)

I’ve never read this author before.  I actually think it’s her maiden voyage, and it doesn’t matter.  I know that a lot of people are waiting for this book, and I’m definitely one of them.

5. Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer (released in April 2017)

So far I’m pretty sure I’ve read everything Brigid Kemmerer has written so far.  That alone is reason enough for me to look forward to this one.  The synopsis just makes me more excited.

6. The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli (released in April 2017)the-upside-of-unrequited

It wasn’t long ago that I read Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, and I really liked it a lot.  I didn’t love it as much as other readers out there, but it was definitely one of the best LGBT YA books I’ve read so far.

I think The Upside of Unrequited may be even better.

7. Release by Patrick Ness (released in May 2017)

Patrick Ness!  He’s an Instant Buy, simple as that.

8. The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich (released in May 2017)

It only took reading the synopsis once for me to fall in love.  It may be reckless, but I think there’s a part of me that wants this one more than any other.

9. Buns by Alice Clayton (released in May 2017)

The final book in the Hudson Valley series, that I love so much.  I really don’t think it’ll come close to Cream of the Crop, but I’m completely committed.  I can’t wait.

silence-fallen10. Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs (released in March 2017)

Mercy Thompson.  We’ve been on a long road, and as far as I can tell it isn’t letting up.  This may not be my favorite UF series but it’s definitely consistent.  Not to mention that I really loved the additions that were added previously.  New faces, new relationships.  I also hear all my favorite characters are back, which is extra awesome.

Top Ten Tuesday
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.

I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about The Hate U Give. And after just reading my first Patrick Ness book I totally get why people love him so much. I need to read more of his books.
