I haven’t taken part in a challenge in a long time, but this one was too good to resist. I think we all need a good reason to attack TBR pile. This is perfect since one of my goals for 2017 is to read more books I’ve been putting off. I’m even going to try to go with only books I’ve already purchased. Anyway, kudos to NovelKnight for creating the perfect yearly challenge!
The rules are simple:
Challenge runs from January 1-December 31 2017
Your book cannot be pubbed in 2017
If you can handle all those rules, pop over to NovelKnight’s blog and sign up! I won’t regret it, and I bet you won’t either!

I’m also playing to help my House win the House Cup.
This is an optional add-on, check it out here, but I think it’s going to make things a whole lot more interesting. Let’s go Hufflepuff!
Anything by Ilona Andrews makes my favorite list. And Jim Butcher is on top too, but I’ve never read any of his other work, just Dresden File, loved it!! The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss was excellent! And OMG you have to read The Martian by Andy Weir, so much better than the movie, even so the movie was great too.:-) Good luck!

Do you mean on Pottermore? I did the sorting hat (I always get Hufflepuff, no matter what website I get sorted on) but I don’t remember them giving me a name.

NovelKnight has a “sorting hat” as a spinoff from beat the back list. http://novelknight.com/2016/11/2017-beat-backlist-hogwarts-house-mini-challenge/

Great list, especially The Martian! Such a fun read. I’ll be participating in a similar challenge, hosted by another blogger. Looking forward to getting to some of those older titles! Good luck!

YES! I’m so glad to find another Hufflepuff. ❤ I adore that idea. This seems like a great challenge. There are so many books I haven't read! But, I have enough challenges happening. I'll just be content to follow yours for now. 🙂

I’ve seen so many good challenges, but I’m sticking to just the one this year.

You are much stronger than I! I wish I could commit less– but there is something out them which calls my weaknesses. 😜

I used to be like that too, on Goodreads. I did like 5 challenges in different groups. But I also hate failing at reading challenges, so when I wasn’t completing them I stopped taking part. I’m a sore reading loser. 🙂

Hahaha- I completely get that! I tend to get distracted by the newest shinier thing. So, I flit in and out of Goodreads groups.
