Top Ten Tuesday | 2017 Debuts

I feel like we’ve recently done a TTT that was similar to this one… but okay, that’s fine.  I can list more 2017 books I want to read.

Yes, I do recognize that this will be debuts, which probably means debut authors.  I don’t think I have a lot of those I’m looking forward to.  I’m skeptical of new release debut authors, but I am looking forward to these.  I think I am, anyway.

Right off the bat, lets start with the two I can’t quit talking/thinking about.  I would trade a couple years off my long life for copies of these right now!

1. The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich.

2. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

These are ones I’m really looking forward to reading, because they sound so good, but they’re not the tip top of my list.

3. A List of Cages by Robin Roe

4. Gilded Cage by Vic James

5. Dreadnought by April Daniels

No, it’s not 10.  But, I tried really hard.  I looked through my TBR for books in pubbing in 2017 and I can’t find anything other than these books that I’m actively looking forward to.

I must be way pickier than I thought.  I think my 2017 goal should be to try more debut authors.

    I’m a little hesitant of debut authors usually too, but all of these are in my TBR!! The Love Interest and The Hate U Give are pretty high up there for me too. 😊

    I think it’s hard to put together a list regarding debut authors. I feel like (at first) they don’t get a lot of mentions,and I think they wait until closer to release date to drum up interest, so you’re really working on only the first few months of the year.

    Nice list! I’m reading A List of Cages right now, and I’m really enjoying it.

      I can’t wait to start that one! I think that’s really true, except in the cases where the hype is already huge. I feel like I’ve been hearing about The Love Interest and The Hate U Give for a while now.

    Great list! I’m excited for most of these, especially The Hate U Give and The Love Interest. I really enjoyed Gilded Cage when I read the ARC, it was quite unique with interesting characters, so I hope you like it!
