Top Ten Tuesday | Wanna read, in the Second Half!

Ten second half

I don’t know why it’s always so hard for me to come up with 10 books that I’m looking forward to.  There are so many books that I want to read, but most of them already come out or come out in 2018.

So, anyway, here’s six of the books I’m most excited for.  Hopefully the release dates don’t get pushed back.

holmes.JPG1. In Other Words… Murder by Josh Lanyon

I try not to pick books that don’t have cover art yet, but in this case I made an exception.  I’ve been waiting years for another Holmes & Moriarity book to come out!

I’m excited, they are one of my favorite couples!

There's Someone in House2. There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

This is another one that feels like the wait’s been too long.  Stephanie Perkins released news of her slasher novel before she released Isla and the Happily Ever After, and I’ve been waiting for it ever since.

I guarantee I’ll be reading this one as soon as possible.

Heroine Worship3. Heroine Worship by Sarah Kuhn

Heroine Complex was one of the most original Superhero novels I’ve ever read.  I enjoyed it more than I anticipated, honestly.  It was funny and clever, and it had great characters.

Now I’m eager for Heroine Worship, because I don’t doubt it’ll be as good!

Illegal Contact4. Illegal Contact by Santino Hassell

I’ve only read one other book by Santino Hassell so far, but I liked it.  This one is a brand new series by the author, and it’s a sports romance!  That sounds like a win-win.

I got an ARC, and I can’t wait to dive in!

Wildfire5. Wildfire by Ilona Andrews

I haven’t even read White Hot yet, but it doesn’t matter.  I loved Burn for Me so much that anything that comes after is going to fill me with all the excitement.

I love Ilona Andrews.  They will always be on my gimme list.

some-kind-of-hero6. Some Kind of Hero by Suzanne Brockmann

This is the book I’m the most excited for!  I thought Suzanne Brockmann was finished with the Troubleshooters and I was so sad about it.  I didn’t know what I’d do without my Izzy!

But, they’re back!  And this is going to be awesome!

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.

  1. I didn’t know about Stephanie Perkin’s book until today. I am surprised to see get into a darker genre. Its so different from her usual YAs but it does sound like a great read.
