I don’t feel like my 2017 Beat the Backlist challenge was very fruitful. Not only did I fall off my list, I also stopped filling out the form to log my page count. In 2018 I’m going to do much better. That’s my goal anyway. This is supposed to the asskicking I need to get my butt in gear!
If any of you are interested in Beating on your Backlist he rules are simple:
Challenge runs from January 1-December 31 2018
Your book cannot be pubbed in 2018
Now, you head on over to NovelKnight and sign up. That way we can compare notes!

- Withered + Sere by TJ Klune
- Devil’s Cut by JR Ward
- The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertali
- Dance with Me by Heidi Cullinan

Don’t beat yourself up too much – there’s always next year. 🙂

Heck yeah, that’s my goal. To hit many of the ones I missed this year. 🙂

Yeah. I need to develop a list of backlist books I want to read and make it a point to fit them in.

You could always join up. There’s no ‘you must meet this limit to win’ or anything. It’s just about how many you can knock out, which is why I like it.

I can’t. I’m ashamed to have failed two challenges this year. Lol

LOL, well that’s fair. I just like that there really isn’t a failure level. I think I only did 6 or 7 backlist books for 2017.

I bought so many books myself that I have still not read. Also I need to do a better job with Netgalley approved books. Trying to catch up during Christmas break.

I’m pretty good with Netgalley. I forced myself to only request what I 100% plan to read. No off the cuff requests. I have the shopaholic issue. I buy books and then they sit on my shelf.
