All about my Valentine, Mr Birdie!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!

I love Valentine’s Day!  It’s one of my favorite holidays.  Despite the arguments over whether it’s a commercial holiday or not, I just love celebrating relationships.  Maybe it’s because in my family it wasn’t only about romantic love.  My mom got us Valentine’s gifts, and she still does for my daughter.  It’s a day of celebrating the people you care about.  Even if it’s just an extra hug.

Last year I wrote love letters to my fictional loves, so this year I want to share how much I love my real world hero, my Mr. Birdie.

We’ve known each other since we were Sophomores in High School.  We’ve been ‘together’ since we were Juniors.
We’ve been married for 14 years.
When I say he’s my best friend, I’m not trying to be cute.  He really is my best friend, and he has been for the majority of my life.
He’s an adorable grumpy pants, and he’s mine.

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
