Baby Chick’s Thoughts!

If you’re like me and you prefer the darker books, I recommend Vicious to you.  There is no hero, there is no good person in any kind of way, there is however neither a villain or a bad person in anyway.

I know that made no sense.  I don’t know how to explain this book, honestly.  The problem is that I loved these characters, and I didn’t love them.  Especially Victor.  You want to hate him, but you just can’t.  You fall for his character even though you know you shouldn’t.  Then there’s Eli, who you do hate, but then you can also understand him… But you don’t want to be able to understand him.  I guess there is a good guy, because you also have Mitch.  He’s not really a good guy.  He’s not a hero, but he’s not cruel or mean.  He loves chocolate milk and he cares deeply for another character, Sydney.

And Sydney, I guess she’s a good guy too, but not really.  Because nobody is really a good a guy in this story.  And now we’re back to what I was saying in paragraph one!  Do you see the vicious (ba da tss) circle here.  It’s impossible to review, because your feelings just won’t make any sense.

Despite all that confusion, I really enjoyed the story because even though it was Superhero -er, SuperVILLAIN fantasy it still felt like “real life”.  The characters feel similar to real humans, because people aren’t completely good or completely bad.  We won’t get into all that though.  You should just really read this book.  I would also love if you’d come back, because as you can tell I really need someone to hash this out with.
