Blog Posts I Loved in August

Sharing blogging love is super important, which is why this monthly post is one I really enjoying drafting up.  Everyone out there writes wonderful, interesting ideas, so here I’m highlighting my favorites in May.  I hope you like them as much as I did.

Life Lessons from Albus Dumbledore

Who doesn’t love the wise words of Albus Dumbledore?  He’s like, the new generation Yoda… if Yoda was a chocolate frog eating wizard.
If you have a favorite Dumbledore quote, I’m positive Jackie included it.  She picked all the best ones.  If you love Harry Potter and Dumbledore, go read this post.

Raising Little Readers:
How I Instill a Love of Reading in my Kids

I love posts like this!  It reminds me, slightly, of a post I wrote about a year ago except Bree talks about younger children and not teenagers.  Imparting my love of reading was so important to me as my daughter grew up, and I think Bree touched on all the important pieces.  It’s extremely well written, and her kids are adorable.

Thanks so much to Kristin Kraves Books for this post idea!

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
