Top Five

The best Christmas ever!
Top 5 Tuesday!

I realized we did this topic last year, and my reality is I didn’t get any of those books.  Which means, they would still be on my list this year.  I’d be redoing the same post.

Instead, let’s talk about books I wish were coming out on Christmas day, providing me the best holiday ever!

Top 5 Tuesday was started by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm!

Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell

It’s been a long time since the last Rainbow Rowell release.  No matter what she published, it would be on this list.  I love her work.  The fact that it’s the sequel to Carry On makes me extra excited!
I can’t get this book fast enough!!

The Place on Dalhousie by Melina Marchetta

What I said about Rainbow goes double for Melina Marchetta.
I devour every single book she writes, and this one is extra special because it’s about my favorite of all her characters.  If I got this book for Christmas, I think I’d faint.

Dark Age by Pierce Brown

We were sooo close to this release, but sadly Pierce Brown had to push it back.
I don’t begrudge him.  I can imagine how much goes into writing an amazing book, and he’s never let me down before.  Still, a girl can daydream it was all a prank and Darrow will wind up under my Christmas tree.

Iron Covenant #2 by Ilona Andrews

Technically this one doesn’t even have a title.  Or a synopsis.  Or a permanent cover.
It doesn’t matter.  I was crazy about Iron Dogs, and this second installment will focus on Elara.  I can’t wait to hold it in my hands and dive right into the story.  Especially for Christmas!

Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff

I feel like we’ve been waiting years for Darkdawn!  Of all the books on my list, this is the one I want the most!  Darkdawn is going to be so fricking epic.  I’m going to devour it like I’ve been starving for a year.  Whatever day this book comes out will become Christmas, that’s how brilliant I’m expecting it to be!

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
