There’s something so joyful in reading Christina Lauren romance’s. I’ve read their NA too, but I believe they truly found their niche in Women’s Fiction. Love and Other Words is my fourth read by the duo, and it is easily my favorite book by them so far. Everything about the story was exceptional, from the past to the present, I was hooked. I’m pretty sure everyone likes a great second chance romance, and this is one of the best I’ve read.

Elliot and Macy made my heart explode!

There was a brilliance in how Christina Lauren wrote Love and Other Words. The first chapter was Now, and the second chapter was Then, and they switched off and on throughout to the end of the book. Elliot and Macy’s second chance was told in tandem with how they’d originally fallen apart. Writing the story in this way, parceling it out, built up the anticipation inside me excruciatingly. I’m on the edge of my seat, hoping Elliot and Macy find each their way back to each other, and at the same time I’m watching their entire teenage worlds implode.

My poor heart couldn’t take it!

It was especially hard to read, but also really romantic, because Elliot came into their reunion with his heart bared. Oh man, did I love Elliot. If there were ever a hero written with Birdie specifically in mind, it would be Elliot. The dark hair, the hazel eyes, the youthful nerdiness growing into a tall broad sexiness. He’s on my list. You know, the one made up of fictional heroes my husband would give me a free pass with, if I could somehow bring them to life. That’s how hard I fell. His words melted me, just the same is they melted Macy.

So yeah, Love and Other Words made heart explode.
Then I floated away on a cloud of romance.

I’m so glad I own this, because I want this story to stay with me forever.

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.

    Love and Other Words is easily my favorite CLo book I’ve read! (Roomies is my 2nd favorite lol) but this story just completely captured me and I loved everything about it! It made my heart so very happy~ I’m so glad you felt the same way! I want them to write more stories like THIS one!

      I haven’t read Roomies yet, but I loved My Favorite Half Night Stand too. They do romantic Women’s Fiction so well! Roomies will happen soon, probably right after the Unhoneymooners! 😀
