The TV Shows Tag

I went a long time only doing tags that I was actively tagged in, but lately there have been so many interesting ones, and I just can’t resist them!  I have to do them!  So, I’ve stolen this tag from Michelle at Book Adventures.  So, Michelle, thanks for posting this awesome tag for me to steal!

If you don’t follow Michelle, you should definitely go check her out.  Among many other wonderful content, she posts great tags!  😀

First TV show you ever watched.

GH

At first I thought this was a hard question, trying to figure out the first show I ever watched.  Then it just hit me.  I’ve been watching General Hospital off and on for as long as I can remember.  When I was really little my mom was a fan.  It didn’t last long for her, but it stuck for me.  It hasn’t been consistent my whole life, but I always find my way back.  I’ve been watching since the 80’s.

All time favorite TV show.

Buffy

This was hard, because I have two favorite TV shows but I’m going to go with the one I’ve loved the longest.  Buffy the Vampire Slayer was spectacular.  It had the best cast, and it had the best world.  The symbolism was off the charts.  And of course, it had Angel and Spike!

Your character crush.

Echolls

Beautiful and bad Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars.  This is my second favorite show, ever, and a big part of that was my insane fan crush on Logan Echolls.  He was sarcastic, and snarky, and kind of an asshole.  I know that as a woman we’re not supposed to love the jerks, but he was just so tender and sweet with Veronica, I couldn’t help it.  (If only Jason Dohring wasn’t a Scientologist.  Wah.)

Favourite OTP.

Pacey.gif

Pacey and Joey, hands down.  From season one Pacey was my favorite character, and I could feel their chemistry right from the beginning.  I knew that in the end it would be Pacey, but of course I was still nervous that the writers would get it wrong.  They didn’t, and it was beautiful.  Perfect.

Most disappointing ending or cancellation.

70

I loved That 70’s Show, for years.  I just hate how it ended.  It needed to end a season before it did.  It needed to end when Eric left, because that weird guy wasn’t working.  And then, on top of that, they put Jackie with Fez!  With FEZ!  First, Jackie should have ended the show with Hyde.  If that couldn’t happen, then it should have at least been Kelso.  Never Fez.

A show you’d like to be on.

Family Feud

I love this game show!  AND, I think I’d rock at it.  Every single time we watch it, I spend the whole time planning what family and friends I’d take with me.  All the laughs.

A character you’d love to take out on a date.

Mon El.gif

Mmm, my newest character crush is Mon El of Daxam from Supergirl.  Not only is he incredibly sexy, I mean look at those eyes and that smile, but he’s hilarious and sweet.  I would definitely have a good time at dinner with Mon El.

A popular TV show you can’t stand.

Live.jpg

Really, it’s not the shows fault.  It’s my husband’s fault.  Between Live PD and Cops, I’m inundated with lame cop shows!  I can’t stand it.  It’s like the same scene over and over, just different faces.  And he watches it for hours.

A scene that made you cry like a baby.

Vamp.jpg

I’ve cried so many times, it’s hard to pick just one.  I think I have to go with the final episode of Vampire Diaries.  It ended exactly the way I wanted it to, but I guess I didn’t realize that it would affect me the way it did.  I cried multiple times, and sobbed at the end.  Despite my interest fluctuating, the characters all ended up meaning a lot to me.

A character with a killer wardrobe.

I can’t find any good pictures, and I know it’s kind of out of date, but even when I watch Friends now I think about how cute Rachel always looks.  Even on her dress down days she was adorable.  Not to mention that some of her looks were timeless.  Her clothes really suited the fashionista.

Tag!

I’m not tagging anyone in this post, but if you have a love of television and you decide to do this tag, make sure to ping me.  I’d love to read your picks!

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.

  1. Beware Of The Reader

I haven’t seen any of these!!!! I’m more of an Anime watcher (Goldorak, Candy, etc. when I was a kid). Now I’m watching the series my kids are following (Teen Wolf, 13 reasons why, Downtown Abbey, etc.). I read too much to really watch TV but I try to catch up on GOT 😉

And Logan Echolls is bae, he was a jerk but a very cute jerk that you had to love.
And Rachel from Friends was always on point with her clothes, I still try to dress like her!

  3. Loved reading this! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to watch too many of these, especially when they first came out, which makes me a bit sad because they do look great!
I do need to check out Supergirl, though! Daaamnn 😍
Great tag and great answers 😊

  4. I will never forgive That 70’s Show for ending the show with Jackie and Fez!! Like, who made that decision and why did everyone agree?? She and Hyde were the most dynamic and interesting and ending it with Fez felt like a cop out. They 100% should have ended the show a season before they actually did. I loved the earlier seasons.

I also grew up with General Hospital playing in my house, I’d come home from school and my mom would be watching it. I never got hooked on it myself, but it gives me warm, familiar “homey feelings” whenever I see it or think of it!

      1. My mom did have them on when I would do my homework, and they were pretty distracting to say the least ahhah. Dramatic confrontations and love affairs were much more interesting than math problems lol.

Ugh YES. It just makes no sense?? I felt no chemistry between them, it was so flat.

  5. So, as I read this, Buffy is LITERALLY playing in front of me. I’m re-watching it again (for the umpteenth time). Season Two, Inca Mummy Girl. Xander’s hitting on mummy girl as I type this.
    Weird coincidence or what?!
