Top 5 Tuesday | My 2018 Book Bucket list!

There are a LOT of books I meant to read last year, but I didn’t get to them.  It was a little hard narrowing it down to 5, so don’t hold me to it!

The five I chose are ones that I stopped at the most, and almost picked them up.  In 2018, I’m definitely going to pick them up!

Top 5 Tuesday was started by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm!

Abroad by Liz Jacobs

AbroadAbroad is getting so many rave reviews, and I just know I’m going to love it.  Plus, that cover is stunning!  Aren’t we all nuts for gorgeous covers?? And the pinks and blues and teals… it’s stunning.  Anyway, back to the story.  It’s diverse, and realistic.  I can’t wait to fit this into 2018!

Sweep in Peace by Ilona Andrews

Sweep in PeaceWith Kate Daniels ending, and my having plowed through the Hidden Legacy books, I’m ready to dive back into the Innkeeper Chronicles.  I’m not sure why I haven’t before, because I loved the first one so much!  I’m ready for more, and 2018 is going to be the year I catch up!

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch

lies-of-locke-lamoraThe Lies of Locke Lamora has been on my to read list for so long, but I’m also completely intimidated.  I don’t know what it is.  I think I really really want to love it, and I’m terrified that I won’t.  My worries remind me of when I read Mistborn, and in that case they were valid.

Turn Coat by Jim Butcher

turn-coatOh my word!  I haven’t read a Dresden Files book in a whole year!  What the heck??  I can’t believe it.  I’ve been completely slacking.  That makes me even more eager to knock this one out.  I can’t believe I’ve let it go that long.  This one’s first.

Vicious by VE Schwab

ViciousAfter I complete Vicious I’ll have read everything this amazing author has written.  So, I’m not sure this should really count as a bucket list selection, because it’s pretty much a sure thing.  Because it’s a sure thing, I’m giving myself the head start by including it anyway.

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.

  1. Great list! The Lies of Locke Lemora is one that I need to get to this year as well. I have a friend who read it last month and she was so obsessed with it she made me want to read it ASAP! The things she explained were just amazing and hilarious! I hope you get to all of these and love them!
    Thanks for participating 🙂

      1. NOOOOOO…fans have been waiting for this sequel for ages! Granted given that she’s finished publishing Monsters of Verity and Shades of Magic this past year, hopefully she’ll get everything sorted out and written and we’ll see a lovely published manuscript later this year. ooOOOh also there’s a really good short story that takes place in the Vicious universe but is no way connected to the book called “Warm Up” It’s free too! ALSO speaking of free stories…you NEED to read The Tragic Life of Lady DeSilva if you haven’t yet (it’s a spinoff of The Lightening Struck Heart of course) It’s HILLARIOUS! Paul and Sandy’s Porno Adventure is also hillarious XD
