The High’s & Low’s!

So, overall I had a good month.  Reading time diminished, but I at least was able to finish 8 books this month.  June always seems to be a hard month for reading.  Work is busy, home is busy, there’s things I’m expected to do and be at… it’s rough.

Of all the books I read, I think I want to shine the most light on Wavehouse by Alice Kaltman.  Yes, Legendary was great.  It’s a very popular book, and a good majority of us will read it.  Wavehouse was just as good, in some ways it was better, yet I feel like not enough people will read it.  If I can impress anything upon you, please give it a shot.  It was so worth it.

Legendary and The Kiss Quotient were both really good.  I’m just reiterating what everyone else says, but honestly, the hype is real.  They’re both so much fun to read and get lost in.

We also finished our discussion of the Kate Daniels series, in preparation for the release of the finale Magic Triumphs.  Kate Daniels is definitely one of the best Urban Fantasy series I’ve ever read.  This won’t be the last time I reread these books.

Next Month Reads

On the Schedule

The Accidentals Ravensong

The Potentials

Ash and Soot EleanorOliphant Hush Iron and Magic

Running with Lions Poppy War Grace Fury Wicked Deep

I am so excited for July!  I only have two books scheduled, which means I have a whole month to just pick up whatever I want.  This is a curse and a blessing.  I miss not following a schedule when I pick my books, but it’s also almost a relief to look at a calendar and know exactly what you’re picking up next.  I’m naturally indecisive, so sometimes with too many options I freeze up.

So, to try and help that quirk, I’ve picked 8 books that I’m really excited for, I already own, and they’re all relatively newer.  My goal is to get all of these read, so I’m going to do my best to kick it up!  Wish me luck!

Have you read any of these?  If so, what were your thoughts?  Do I have good things to look forward to?

How was your June, and where do you see your biblio-life going?

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
