Last year I wrote that 2017 was rough. Well, 2017 had nothing on 2018. My family had a rough year, and it definitely had an impact on my reading. For 2019 I’m going lighter on my list and reading more spur of the moment, even when it comes to my backlist picks. I want to kill it! I will kill it!
If any of you are interested in Beating on your Backlist all you have to do is follow the link to Novel Knight to sign up. There are mini challenges, all sorts of fun, and the rules are simple:
Challenge runs from January 1-December 31 2019
Your book cannot be published in 2019
Birdie’s Beat the Backlist Books
Young Adult Books I already own:
- Release by Patrick Ness
- Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson
- All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater
- Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
- Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman
- Obsidio by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
Books I meant to read in 2017 and didn’t:
- Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs
- Changes by Jim Butcher
- Running with Lions by Julian Winters
- Risk Taker by Lily Morton
- Pros & Cons of Vengeance
- Nova Praetorian by N.R. Walker
- Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews

Thanks for joining the challenge!!
Just to clarify with the challenge guidelines, books CAN be published in 2018. They can’t be published in 2019. 😊
Happy reading!

Didn’t want you to think you couldn’t count 2018 titles! They are DEFINITELY fair game haha

I plan on reading some 2018 books too, so I definitely need to fix that! (It was a flub from my template for btb.

Yay!! I opted out of the House mini challenge this year. I always eventually stop adding my reading to the form.

I thought about the house challenge, because it always looks so fun! But about 3 months into the year I stop adding points. I figured it’s not really fair. This year I’m just doing it for the self goals.

I find it hard to remember to keep the Amazon emails with the review links so I set up a folder in my email to keep them and it also makes me remember to do it!!! I did think twice about it but decided to give it a go again!!
