Feedback by Mira Grant
(Release Date: October 4, 2016)
About the Book: FEEDBACK is a full-length Newsflesh novel which overlaps the events of Feed and covers the Presidential campaign from the perspective of reporters covering the Democrats side of the story.
There are two sides to every story…
The year was 2014. We had cured cancer. We had beat the common cold. But in doing so we unleashed something horrifying and unstoppable. The infection spread leaving those afflicted with a single uncontrollable impulse: FEED.
Now, twenty years after the Rising, a team of scrappy underdog reporters relentlessly pursue the truth while competing against the superstar Masons, surrounded by the infected, and facing more insidious forces working in the shadows.
Why I’m dying to read this:
When I finished Blackout I’d resigned myself to the series being over. That original trilogy, with George and Shawn, is still my favorite zombie post-apocalyptic series I’ve read. There was something about a future that was still thriving, despite the existence of Walkers. The fact that Mira Grant wasn’t afraid to thumb her nose at traditional Zombie lore in this way is exactly what I loved about it.
Imagine my excitement when I heard she was going to continue the series by doing a spin-off series which takes place in the same world, but with new characters. Sure, I would prefer more George and Shawn, but I’ll take what I can get because I know that no matter what it’s going to be good!
I mean, if Mira can mostly pull off making me care about a tapeworm in human skin, then this should be easy peasy.
Event hosted by Breaking the Spine, featuring a future release you’re waiting for.
Interesting! I may have to check out the first book in the original series. 🙂

Definitely start with Feed. What makes it stand out is that it’s not post apocalyptic. This happened, the virus that caused Zombies, and humans still continued to thrive. It gives the whole Zombie trope a brand new spin.

I love zombie novels and films but for some reason this series has just never caught my eye. However, after reading your post I’m now gonna give it a go sometime, so thanks! 🙂

If you want something that’s different, something that shows Humans as the strong force they are, you should try it. Plus, as a blogger, bloggers are the players in this world and that is brilliant.
