Celebrating The Little Things Tag

This is one of my favorite tags!  I love the sense of community that it provides, so I was especially thankful to be nominated by Michelle at Book Adventures.  I started following her early because of how beautiful and simple her blog is.  If you aren’t a follower you should go check it out and hit that button.

Who was your very first follower (if you can find out)? Tag them and give them a shout out!

readers-whimsy

A Reader’s Whimsy was my first follower, 5 months ago.  (My first non-family follower, since I don’t think that’s fair.)  I was so excited to get that first legitimate follower, and I still get just as excited today.

What was the last milestone you reached?

100

I’m pretty sure my last milestone was 100 posts, but since we can only go back so far I can’t make sure.  It’s a great milestone, but it wasn’t as exciting as 200 followers, or 1000 likes.  I am proud of my work, but knowing people read it and like it is what makes blogging so amazing.

What was the very first post you posted on your blog? Share it with us!

It was an introduction post.  Nothing exciting.  If you want to read it now, here it is.

Who was your most recent follower? Tag them and give them a shout out!

My last follower was The Book Raven.  Another simple, but lovely, blog featuring books and poetry.  Thank you so much for finding me so I can follow YOU.

What was the last post you posted and who was the very first person who took their time to click the like button? Give them a shout out!

Fingerprint.jpgI always feel like I’m cheating when I get questions like that.  I’m typing this up on 12/17, so currently my last post was Literary Fingerprint, and the first person to click that like button was By Hook or By Book, who in my head looks exactly like Belle.  Probably because of her blog design.  Go check it out!

How many months have you been blogging for?

Surprisingly not that long.  I did my first post in July, but it was sporadic in the beginning.  I started posting with gusto in September.  It feels like it’s been forever, and yet it also feels like it’s flown by.  I plan on writing and rambling for as long as possible.

Do you have any bloggers you’re friends with? Give them a shout out.

When asking this question, how do we define friends?  Is this asking about people we are friends with NOT behind a computer screen?  If so, then I have two:

Angie at Books & Beauty Are My Bag – or BaBAMB as we like to say.  I hope she knows she keeps me sane!

Casey King at Fingerlike – We’ve been friends for around 11 years now, here in my real world.  In fact, I’ll be seeing her Monday morning.  Bright and early at work.

Or, are you defining ‘friends’ as other bloggers we met and enjoy interacting with online?  Because I have those too:

Ava at Reads, Rhythms, and Ruminations
Meghan at Whimsical Explorations & Reviews
Deanna at A Novel Glimpse

There are a lot of others, but the list would be very very long.

Who originally created the last meme or tag you participated in? Give them a shout out!

thisismtgenrenrwlogo

My last tag was The This is My Genre Tell Me Yours Book Tag, created by Drew at The Tattooed Book Geek.  It’s a perfect tag, because we get to learn about others reading selections and it’s the perfect length.

Have you any social media related to your blog?

I sure do.  They’re all right here:

Last but not least …. just say thanks to all your followers.

Thank you so much!  Whether you actually follow, or you just clicked the button to be nice, I appreciate every one of you.  I love Birdie Bookworm, and getting to interact with readers and other bloggers is why.

 TAG!

The best part of Celebrating the Little Things Tag is that (so far) everyone has tagged all the blogs they mention in the answers.

I’m not breaking tradition, so if you see your name up there: Tag!  You’re it!

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.

  2. Oh, this is a nice tag. I like the idea of giving a shout out to the people who support you.

I’m glad you feel like I keep you sane. Besides being a great friend, I feel like you’re my IT Department and Idea-bouncer-offer all rolled into one! 🙂
