First things first, I love books.  Books are probably my most favorite thing on earth.  (My birdies are not things!  They’re my friends.)  Actually, what I really love is a good fictional story.  Give me the opportunity to walk in someone else’s shoes and I’m in.

For years I’ve entertained the idea sharing my love of reading by starting my own blog, daydreaming about all that I’d have to say about reading and genre’s and authors and all the goodness that’s inside the pages of beloved novels.  Potentially even the ones that I dislike.  Bring it all on.

For a long time I was intimidated with starting my hypothetical blog from scratch, doubting my ability to build up a following on my own.  (I may be a bit neurotic!)  After joining on as a co-blogger at Badass Book Reviews over two years ago, having the opportunity to get some experience under my belt, I realized that it doesn’t matter.  It’s really just about myself, right?  Having fun.  I mean, I’m following me.  I like the sound of my own opinions.  I clearly agree with everything I’m saying.  Anything else is bonus.

While books may be my favorite inanimate objects, I’m also going to spend quite a bit of time talking about television, potentially some movies, and possibly even a little Twenty One Pilots!  Because the fact is, as the working mother of a 12 year old (going on 16), with a husband, two dogs, and three birds, these are the things that keep me sane.
