Waiting on/Can’t Wait Wednesday!

Iron Gold by Pierce Brown
(Release Date: January October 16, 2017)

Iron Gold About the Book:
Honor and betrayal fuel a caste-shattering revolution in the action-packed new novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Red Rising Trilogy.

Ten years after the events of Morning Star, Darrow and the Rising are battling the remaining Gold loyalist forces and are closer than ever to abolishing the color-coded caste system of Society for good. But new foes will emerge from the shadows to threaten the imperfect victory Darrow and his friends have earned.

Pierce Brown expands the size and scope of his impressive Red Rising universe with new characters, enemies, and conflicts among the stars.

Why I’m dying to read this:

Red Rising was one of those trilogies that you’re just not ready to say goodbye to.  I wasn’t ready to leave Darrow and Sevro behind, so I was super excited when Pierce Brown announced that there would be a followup trilogy, where Darrow and his friends have to learn how to live in this new world that they’ve created.  That sounds great, but I’d have read this if it was just a book full of scenes that hit Pierce Brown’s cutting room floor.  I love these characters!

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
