The High’s & Low’s!
What a fun month! 2018 is starting off perfectly, with a new PsyCop book (about Vic), and four epic rereads. It’s been so awesome, rereading Kate Daniels from the beginning. I love going for the ride with her and Curran again, remembering their tug of war romantically. I’ve always been a rereader of my favorites, but since the discovery of Goodreads I’ve found less time to revisit old favorites. I wanted to correct myself this year, and so far I’m off to a great start.
In addition to that, I also read Immemorial Years and fell in love with the heartbreaking duology. I think, possibly, it jumped to the top of my favorites list. I’m eager to hold the physical copies in my hands. I also read Chanel Cleeton’s Historical Fiction book, Next Year in Havana, and I was so pleased with it. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did.
So all in all I only had one book that went below 3.5 stars. It was an EXCELLENT month!

The Potentials
I don’t have any rereads on my list for February yet. It’s full of Beat the Backlist books, and new reads, but that’s only because I want to go with my gut on rereads. If I’m honest with myself, I really want to pick up Captive Prince again because it’s been about a year. I’m just not sure how I could incorporate that into the blog again. If anyone is interested in reading, and wants to do a discussion, let me know! 😀
It’s felt so good to not be hemmed in by over scheduling. I really love reading on a whim, whatever I want. I feel like my passion has been rejuvenated.
I bet to differ on the no February re-reads…I see a Kate Daniels on your list. 😉
You had a stellar reading month! Go you.

AH! You’re right! I guess I didn’t think of that because it’s scheduled!

More Than We Can Tell is on my TBR as well! Although I still have to pick up Letters to the Lost first because my brain simply wants it that way. I don’t even know if it would matter if I don’t but my brain won’t have it anyway, haha.
I’ve heard a lot of people mention that Batman isn’t as good as they expected it to be. It’s still on my TBR so I’m curious about my own opinion but.. I have to say I’m not as eager anymore to start reading as I was at first. :’)
Looks like you kicked off the year pretty awesomely when it comes to reading!

I wouldn’t want to read More Than We Can Tell before Letters to the Lost. I mean, that’s where Rev is introduced, and you should read about what happens with his best friend first. Just my opinion though.
I did like Wonder Woman more, but I’m not unhappy about having bought and read Batman. I liked it, and I liked the way Bruce was written.

Okay! Noted! Definitely will read Letters to the Lost first then, haha. I really don’t want to end up going like “I was confused because of THAT” when it’s my own fault being confused for not having read the books in the right order.
Good to know! Going to pick it up at some point, but no clue when.

I think you may not be confused, because it is a new story. It just feels like a sequel to me.

Ooh, I read Wonder Woman last year and I absolutely loved it, so I’m so glad that you did as well! I also read Down By Contact this month and really enjoyed it, which was a nice surprise, since I’d didn’t like the first book! 😄
Ooh, I’m really hoping to read Iron Gold and Thunderhead this year, but both are so big! Hopefully I do get to them! 🙈 Vicious is great, so I do hope you read it sometime soon! And I absolutely love the Captive Prince trilogy, so I feel you on re-reading it. 😂
