The High’s & Low’s!
Obviously I had a lot 4 star reads. They were all good, I enjoyed them. My highlights in March were Mercy Thompson, but that’s obvious. I think the biggest shocker was my obsession with The Foxhole Court. More than my obsession, I think I’m so hung up on it because I can’t believe I love it as much as I do. It’s so flawed, but those characters just burrowed inside me and I can’t let go. Even now I find that I can’t stop thinking about them. I know this will be a reread series.
On the opposing side, I can’t way I was super disappointed about anything. I suppose the book I disliked the most was 72 Hours. I think they story had so much promise, but the writing and characters couldn’t take it all the way. I think, in a few months, I won’t remember I even read it.
Favorites Around the Blogosphere
In all my blogging travels, there were a few blog posts that I loved and want to share. First, Deanna at A Novel Glimpse gave us Ed Sheeran songs that should be romance novels, and I didn’t disagree. I think Mr. Sheeran writes the most romantic songs on the radio. I’d read these books.
Nerd in New York talks Diversity in reading, which is a topic that is important to a lot of us. I particularly liked the breakdown of this post, and the statistics. It was very well done.
How about, are you a book addict? Whether you are, or your not sure, you should read this article by Mind of a Book Dragon. Make sure you click her link to the first article in February.
I’ve not read Carve the Mark, but I did read the Divergent series. While I’ve never considered myself a fan of Veronica Roth, I have found myself intrigued by how her new book was received. If you haven’t heard, or it interests you too, read Bookmark Chronicles author review of Veronica Roth.
Finally, I stumbled on this article at The Book Corps, all about Adults reading YA, and why there is nothing wrong with it! Obviously there’s a stigma against an adult reading YA. I think most of us have heard it, or dealt with it. I know it’s a peeve of mine, and if it’s one of yours, pop in and read her article. It’s another well written post.

I have some great selections up there! I’m going to have a wonderful month. I have another TJ Klune, whoo hoo!! And THIRDS. AND another Josh Lanyon! All of these gems in the same month. I have a few new YA’s to read, one from an author I already love. Plus, The Hate U Give is out, and I’ve been really excited for it.
I have a feeling I’m going to love April.
