The High’s & Low’s!
Silence Breaking! I was so excited to finally get this book!! You have no idea how much I love this series. It has everything- epic romance, grumpy chauvinistic hero who you can’t help but love anyway because he’s tricksy like that, and all kinds of hilarity and antics from the heroine. It’s one of my favorite series, and I salivate with want for each installment. Silence Breaking was definitely the biblio-highlight of my September, and my only 5 star read of the month.
I also really really enjoyed Lovesick Titans and Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold. Neither one was completely perfect, but they did keep me enthralled. Lovesick Titans especially stayed with me after I finished it. I originally gave it 4 stars, but had to up my rating because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Mal and Danny were magical together.
I also finally read Lovesong, the short story TJ wrote in the Greek Creek world. For not being super long, it sure packed an emotional punch. It’s not easy to hold back the tears when you’re sitting at work and reading anything by Mr Klune. He’ll getcha like that.
With all our medical issues this month, I found myself craving some good ole mindless romance, and Dragon Bound was perfect for me. Even though it was a four star read, I think it was probably my second favorite book of the month, simply because it cured me of a reading drought, and took some weight off my shoulders for a little while. I’m looking forward to reading more from this world.

The Potentials
October is going to be hard. My husband has his amputation on Oct 2nd, so of course it also happens to be the month where I’ve got every single kind of appointment you can think of. I’m not looking forward to tackling our family business without my support, my partner, with me. He’ll either be left at home, or very possibly at an aftercare facility for the first few weeks to heal. We’ve been inseparable for 23 years, not being apart for more than a weekend, so this potential separation kills me.
What I’m getting at is I’m not sure how much actual reading I’m going to get done. It’ll be a lot of traipsing back and forth from home to the hospital/facility. If I CAN read, then I’ll definitely be hitting my scheduled books. If I can’t read at least three books in October, it’s time to put me out to pasture. 😀
After that, I’ve been searching for a good thriller. Right now I think I’m going to read In the Woods, but I’d really like a thriller series that follows the same character. If you know of a good one shout it out in the comments, pretty please!
I’ve also heard from a very reliable source that Beneath the Stain is a must read for M/M fans, so I’m hoping I can add that one to my October.
I hope I can get to all of them, because I think I’m definitely going to need fictional escapes.
Looks like you overall had a pretty good month for reading 🙂

I tihnk the only one is the third book in Bear Otter Kid series, the one from the Kid’s perspective. oh god, he becomes an ungrateful little shit in that one
(also Lovesong was so emotional, I love how every single character in that series is capable of destroying my feelings)
