Top 5 Tuesday | 5 Books I’d KILL For

This wasn’t easy to put together.

When you’re barely reading for a year, you lose your connection with the book releases. The nice thing is, it made me start looking forward again.

Here are the five books I’m now so super excited for!

Top 5 Tuesday was started by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm!

The House in the Cerulean Sea
by TJ Klune

I remember when TJ announced he’d been picked up by Tor, and how excited he was. We were all so excited for him. I feel like we’ve followed his news, and the wait, for so long and now we’re only two months away. The House in the Cerulean Sea is out in March, and it sounds fantastic, and the cover is life… This is the book I need the most.

The Extraordinaries
by TJ Klune

I’m pretty sure Tor first picked up this series. The Extraordinaries is TJ’s first YA novel, and it sounds perfectly TJ. I cannot wait to see this book in my local B&N. I’m going to be Instagramming the shit out of this book. I’m so proud of him, I could cheer. (And I don’t even really know him.)

Brothersong
by TJ Klune

Yeah yeah yeah, this is another TJ. Truth is, if there were two more books announced for 2020, this enter list would have been TJ. I’m not too proud to admit I’m a rabid fan. Brothersong is the Green Creek finale, and I’m both excited for it, and heartbroken. I hate letting go of beloved series.

House of Earth and Blood
by Sarah J Maas

I’m almost a Sarah Maas newbie. I read Throne of Glass and freaking loved it. Then I read book 2 and I was so angry, I quit the entire series. I haven’t read anything else. BUT, look at that freaking cover! Okay, I’m totally sold, right there. It’s stunning. The synopsis sounds fantastic too, so I’m down to give it a try, and hope I’m sold on it. (It will be on my bookshelf.

Empire of the Vampire
by Jay Kristoff

Jay has been talking about this series on Instagram for a long time. I thought I was beyond the Vampire world. Turns out, I’m not. I am seriously excited for this book. I have to say goodbye to Mia, but I get to say hello to someone new. Bring it on, Kristoff.

About Birdie

Don’t look for her in any bar, club, crazy raging party, or anywhere there may be a large gathering of strangers. She’s more likely to be found tucked into the corner of the couch watching one of her favorite shows, or preferably under a comforter with her current novel.
